Children will engage in meaningful experiences that will create memories to last them a lifetime. We’re conveniently located right outside of Ellicott City and Columbia. Here We Grow Farm Camp

There’s no more magical way to spend summer than at Here We Grow Agricultural Learning Center ! With the guidance of our dedicated and knowledgeable counselors, campers will care for and learn about the animals on our farm. They will take part in the day to day routines necessary to cultivate the land, nourish our wide range of livestock, and learn about farm based businesses and practices.

They will learn and grow with our mini cows, mini donkeys, mini alpacas, mini horses, goats, sheep, horses, bunnies, chickens to name a few. Our unique property allows campers to experience life in the great outdoors – where they can disconnect and reconnect at the same time. Campers will spend every day outside exploring nature life on our beautiful environmental farm in West Friendship, MD.

Themes will be announced April 1st, our farm-based curriculum engages campers in educational and fun-filled ways. Curriculum and camp activities will be geared toward the seasonal needs of our functioning farm.

Age Breakdown

We offer 3 age categories, Chicky Poos, Moo Pals and Ranch Wranglers. Core concepts for all ages in our project based program are agriculture and education, animals and art, and nature & fun

Chicky Poos

Two groups preschool 3-5 and entering Kindergarten

Curriculum and activities geared toward our younger children that gives them safe and exciting exposure to life on the farm. We will connect, songs, stories, science experiments and so much more to the real world happenings at Here We Grow.

Moo Pals

Ages 6-9

Get muddy and silly as we take care of farm chores and connect our experiences to all areas of learning. From animals to crops we will cook, make bonds with the sweetest animals, and live our best lives exploring.

Ranch Wrangler

Ages 10-12

Age 13+ Junior Counselor Program

Children are given leadership opportunities to schedule and manage happenings at Here We Grow. They will teach as they learn and have a summer built for and by them.

Here We Grow Horse Camp

Indulge in your love of horses while learning horsemanship. Campers will help care for the horses and have a wide range of horse related activities and fun both mounted and on the ground. Learn all of the basics while making memories and lifelong friends.

No experience needed. Interact with, ride, and learn from horses, ponies, and miniature horses.

Daily Schedule

Daily groups will be divided by age and experience level. They will rotate through stations of mounted activities on horseback, barn chores and horse care, horse education with the minis, arts & crafts, active games, and nature walks with the horses. Campers will ride daily and activities will vary. We will have a horse show available for participation by all.

Camp Your Journey

Children will have a weekly offsite or in house field trip each week. To view each week’s theme, click on the registration link below.

The children will be transported by one of our YJNP camp counselors and there will be ample opportunities for parent chaperones to join. While on-site, they have a structured day with a range of activities that will expose them to concepts involving, STEAM, tech, exploration, humanitarianism, and so much more. There is a new theme weekly to guide our lesson plans.

  • Our Super-Campers will spend this week making masks, capes, and discovering their superhero identities while honing in on their super powers! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no, It’s Your Journey Summer Campers!

    Excursion: IFly Indoor Skydiving

    “ STEM LITE Program:  STEM Educators will get your students fired up for the day with an informal lesson on how our vertical wind tunnel works and then a demonstration on how different objects fly. Students are amazed to see how water flies and thrilled to watch the advanced flying skills of our instructors.

    STEM Activity – students delve deeper into a STEM topic as our educator guides them through one of our specially curated activities.

    Flying – all students have the opportunity to fly in the wind tunnel one-on-one with a certified world class iFLY Flight Instructor. “

    Special Park Visit: Northwest Regional Park

    Grab your masks, and put on your capes! We are going to Northwest Regional Park to fly through a super hero training course. Time yourself as you race through the 14 obstacles on course. We will be testing our super skills as we make our way through chain nets, timber walls, embankment runs, rope bridges and more!


  • This week we are traveling back in time to explore castles, dragons, knights, and more! We will be building castles, and even making our own lava breathing dragons!

    Excursion: Medieval Times

    “Queens! Horses! Knights! See the magic up close in a show specially developed for young audiences. Summer Camp matinees are closed to the general public, offering a safe, air-conditioned environment for groups to enjoy. The fun unfolds in front of you while feasting on a tasty meal with options for those who have dietary restrictions”

    Special Park Visit: King and Queen Playground

    Our young knights will race to the top of the castle to become the king or queen. Everyone wants to rule the castle! The king and queen will have to tag other knights trying to take the throne! The last knights standing will be crowned king and queen of the castle!

  • Join us in learning the art of illusion! We will use science, art and some slite of hand to learn all about magic. Come one and all to a Your Journey magic show presented by a real magician!

    Special Park Visit: Wizard of Oz

    We’re traveling down the Yellow Brick Road to the land of Oz. Experience the magic as you travel from Dorothy’s farm, to Glinda’s Lollipop Guild, the Witch’s castle, and the Emerald City itself. There is so much fun to be had here in Oz!

  • Throughout the week they will have dance parties, make instruments, learn dance routines, and visit a music theater for an up close and personal experience!

    Excursion: Imagination Stage Theater

    Special Park Visit:Catonsville Tire Park

    We’re taking “music and movement” quite literally at the tire park. We will be putting on a concert for all our forest friends using the parks built in instruments, dancing our way through the obstacle course, and maybe even having a dance battle or two under the pavilion.

  • Tap into your inner mad scientist as you experiment with different reactions and solutions throughout the week.

    Excursion: Science Guys of Baltimore

    Put on your lab coats, and give us your best mad scientist impression, because the Science Guys of Baltimore are coming to give us a show!

    Special Park Visit: Chesapeake Sensory Plaza

    We’re gearing up for a super fun and immersive day of marine science! At Rockfield Park your little scientists will learn about the Chesapeake Bay Watershed by manipulating the pumps and dams in the “stream.” Bathing suits are recommended for this trip as we are bound to get a little wet!

  • We’re going back in time this week. Take a Jurassic journey with us as we explore the world of dinosaurs through fun games, crafts, and activities. Unearth fossils at Dinosaur Park, and learn all about what life was like when dinosaurs roamed the Earth!

    Excursion: Dinosaur Park in Laurel

    “Children will get an education intro to the animals and plants that used to call Maryland home. After going through the park rules, participants get to search the surface of the fossil site. Participants in the past have found fossil pinecones, bone fragments, turtle shell, crocodile teeth, fish scales, and more! As with the dig, participants may get to keep specific finds, and the rest will be cataloged and put into the collection. “

    Special Park Visit: Woodland Wonderland

    In this supersized woodland park we are going to use our imaginations to explore what life might have been like for small creatures living along side dinosaurs. In a Jurassic take on hide and seek, we will have to find places to hide from a T-rex!

  • Blast off into fun as we learn about space, the life of astronauts, planets, stars, and more. From making our own constellations, to homemade galaxy playdough this week is sure to be a blast!

    Special Activity: Robinson Nature Center

    “The nighttime sky is dynamic but what exactly causes it to change from one evening to the next? While seated in the comfort of our digital planetarium, witness the sunset and watch the transformation of our sky as the stars appear. Young students engage in making observations about the world around them as they see the movement patterns of objects in the sky. View the constellations and hear the stories behind them. Outside of the planetarium, they examine actual meteorites and investigate the surface of Earth’s moon.”

    Special Park Visit: Blandair Regional Park

    Three.. Two… One… Blast off! To Blandair Regional Park, where we will use our imaginations to explore the galaxy in the giant rocket located in the play area.

  • Keep your detective hats on and your eyes open. We will be using our spy skills all week long solving mysteries.

    Excursion: Spy Museum

    “Receive your cover identity and prepare to test your spy skills throughout the Museum on your UNDERCOVER MISSION.”

    Special Park Visit: Miller Cooper State Park

    Spies get hot too! During our park visit this week we’ll be cooling down and splashing off at the splash pad in Miller Cooper Park. Pack your bathing suits, we’re going to have a splashing good time!

  • This week we will learn all about camp site safety, pitching tents, and exploring the wilderness as we dive into the world of camping!

    Excursion: Camping at Here We Grow Stables & Agricultural Learning Center

    Special Park Visit: Constitution Gardens Park

    Our happy campers will continue connecting with nature at Constitution Gardens. Here they will play in sand beds and “river” beds, build tree branch tents, climb on massive tree stumps, and much more!

    This week is all about fun! We are going to SAM’s Playground to let our imaginations run wild! There is so much to do in this fantasy land playground.

Gymnastics Camp

Summer can be a time for kids to slip into inactivity, but our gymnastics camps and classes offer a fun way to combat that. Gymnastics camps help kids stay strong and coordinated by working on skills like flips, rolls, and balances. This not only keeps them fit but also builds confidence as they master new movements. Plus, gymnastics classes provide a structured environment that keeps kids engaged and learning throughout the summer break! Located right outside of Columbia and Ellicott City, Your Journey Gym is a premier spot for campers!

Payment Policies Vary Based on Specific Camp.

There is a $50 registration fee that is non-refundable and required with each application. This is a one time fee that is in addition to the weekly cost of camp. It includes administrative costs and T-shirt that all campers will be provided on their first day.

If registering for separate camps, separate fee required per camp. Complete separate registrations for each child.
